Thoroughly analysing processes, outlining the As Is and working towards the To Be: Evolynx maps it out for us
Our assignment
Picanol is part of the Tessenderlo Group. The company develops, manufactures and sells high-tech weaving machines in more than 100 countries and has been among the world’s top weaving machine producers for decades. To provide external expertise and strengthen its existing team of business analysts, Picanol relies on Evolynx.
Our contribution
At Picanol, Evolynx takes on the role of coaching the existing business analyst team when they are facing a significant innovation or implementation, for example during the preparation of the new ERP, PLM, CRM and HR packages. Our support is provided on a project basis, with the aim of embedding our proposed solution into Picanol’s daily operations.
During such digital transformation projects, we start with the analysis of the AS IS processes, integrations, etc. Subsequently, we collaborate with the various stakeholders to develop the TO BE and we establish the necessary requirements. Sometimes our contribution goes a step further, when we advice on the selection of software packages. During the implementation of the solution, we support the project team: from blueprint to developing a testing plan for the business.
In addition, a collaborative effort with Picanol was made to find the best metamodel for modelling their Enterprise Architecture: from capabilities and processes, to data, applications and integrations. By combining different modelling languages (Archimate, BPMN and UML), we were able to model the enterprise architecture in a clear manner. In combination with working at various levels of detail, this enables us to provide both business and IT with the information they desire at the relevant abstraction level.
